The average travel blog lasts somewhere between one and three years.

We started ours over six years ago.

Then we stopped.

Not because we stopped traveling. Not because we ran out of stories. Life simply had other plans.

Over the past six years, we've experienced more than we ever imagined. What began as a travel friendship turned into something much more. Through it all, Tony became my constant—the calm to my chaos, and sometimes the chaos to my calm. Together, we've navigated life's twists, turns, and unexpected detours.

There were seasons that tested us. Finalizing a divorce during the uncertainty of 2020. Moving in with my dad and then unexpectedly losing him. Moving across state lines. Learning that my cancer had returned. Watching Dresdyn move in with his biological parents. Facing challenges that made writing feel less important than simply getting through the day.

But while we stopped posting, we never stopped living.

We spent a year chasing festivals and collecting memories. We adopted Rosie, our adventure-loving Aussiedoodle who quickly became the newest member of our travel crew and inspired what would eventually become the Rosie Roo Diaries. We attended the largest medieval reenactment war in the world, where we met pirates and made friendships we'll never forget. We moved into a campground and began transforming it into a place we could truly call home away from home. Along the way, we created our first Halloween Forest Trail and Christmas Trail, tackled countless DIY projects, learned lessons the hard way, and collected more stories than we could ever tell in a single post.

Somewhere along the way, we realized we weren't ready to give up on this dream.

In fact, we're dreaming even bigger.

Our next goal is Thailand. Not a quick vacation, but an extended adventure. Between visas, international pet travel, and bringing Rosie Roo along for the journey, the goal is bigger than we originally planned—but it's one we're actively working toward.

As we build toward that next chapter, we're bringing this space back to life.

You'll find travel stories both old and new, practical trip-planning advice, campground and campsite homesteading projects, Airbnb hosting experiences, home renovations, DIY projects, arts and crafts, and plenty of lessons learned along the way. You'll also find Rosie's adventures, mischief, and travel tales through the Rosie Roo Diaries.

Most of all, you'll find stories.

Because that's what this has always been about.

Not just the destinations, but the experiences. Not just the highlights, but the wonderfully imperfect moments in between. The moments that challenge us, shape us, and become the stories we tell for years afterward.

We're still here. Still exploring. Still building. Still dreaming.

And this time, we're bringing you along for the journey.
